1. You will be contacted by
the Executive Officer if there is any additional information
that may assist in a successful outcome to the application.
For this reason, it is advisable to submit applications
well before the closing date, to allow for any consideration
and suggestions to be made. Any advice offered by the Executive
Officer does not necessarily guarantee the success of the
application. The Executive Officer does not participate
in decisions regarding the outcome of applications.
2. The application will be
listed on the agenda of the next meeting of the Trust.
3. The agenda will be circulated
to the Directors for their consideration two weeks prior
to the meeting.
4. Each application is considered
by the Trust against certain criteria. As well as consideration
of the residential requirements, other factors are the benefit
to the applicant, how much the applicant is prepared or
able to contribute towards the total cost, whether there
is a real need for financial assistance from the Trust and
whether the applicant has investigated and pursued other
sources of funding. The Trust is not necessarily averse
to providing additional funds to top up contributions
from other sources, but is opposed to duplicating other
funding (double dipping), and in particular,
to replacing previous government funding.
5. Applicants should receive
written advice on the result of their application from the
Trust within two weeks of the meeting. Telephone or email
requests for such advice following the meeting are welcome.
6. Letters to successful applicants
will normally include a cheque for the amount granted. Applicants
must acquit the grant in the manner requested in the letter
of advice and return any part of the grant that has not
been used under the terms of the grant.
7. All applicants are expected
take every opportunity to publicise the work of the Trust,
and in particular, to publicly acknowledge the assistance
of the Trust in any articles or interviews relating to the
project.
